White Christmas | 12 Days of Drinkmas

Overhead shot of cocktails with candy cane stick garnish, mini liquor bottle and silver ornaments

A White Christmas is nice in theory, very seldom in reality. Unless you are on vacation in a cabin with a wood-burning fireplace and a nice hot (or cold) drink. Though a majority of the time that is not the case. We are stuck in the hustle and bustle, going to work, running errands in that mess of frozen wetness. No thank you.

This cocktail was inspired by the ideal White Christmas and everything we wished it was. Thus named the White Christmas cocktail, complete with a frosted rim. So you can pretend you are that snow bunny in a nice cabin in the woods just freshly powdered with snow.

This drink could be made hot or cold. You folks in the PNW would probably like the hot version right about now, and quite frankly it got down to the 50’s so that’s practically freezing for the standards here – ha! I still made mine cold though.

I love a good festive drink, especially during the holidays. White chocolate screams Christmas drink to me, and what better way than with some festive sprinkles to top it off. Add all the sparkle and glitter! Let us know what your favorite holiday drink is in the comment section below!

It’s a Christmas treat in a cup. If you like sweet drinks and a little sugar kick to get you through the holidays this one is for you!

Ingredients

  • 3 oz. Vodka (or whip cream flavored or vanilla flavored vodka)
  • 100 ml Sheelin White Chocolate Cream Liqueur (2 mini bottles or about 3 oz)
  • 1.5 oz heavy cream or milk
  • 1 tbsp frosting (of your choice)
  • Sprinkles

Directions

  1. Frost the rims of your glasses and dip in sprinkles.
  2. In a shaker add remaining contents with ice. Shake vigorously for 30 seconds.
  3. Pour over ice and add a festive candy cane.

Tips & Tricks:

  • HOT VERSION – don’t shake over ice. Heat up your cream or milk before hand.
  • The candy canes I used were the soft mint candy canes. It gave the pink tinge along with a light minty taste. I just used the sticks to stir my drink every now and then. Or you can leave them in to get more mint flavor.

  • Use a variety of sprinkles for your rim to add some fun!
  • I topped my drinks off with some snow balls- aka the Christmas vanilla cotton candy. However it all dissolved by the time I could take pictures. ?
